Xeikon 5000

With two of the very latest five colour Xeikons, Face can now boast the most comprehensive digital printing service in London. These machines are web fed and offer a maximum print image area of 480mm (maximum job size 460mm) by virtually any length (11 metres to be exact).

The Xeikon engine fuses four colour dry toner (with a fifth colour option) onto both sides of the paper simultaneously and can print over 3,500 A4 duplex sheets an hour. Although using toner the new machines produce strong flat colours as well as tints and pastels. And with enhanced registration software, fine detail and reversed out type is produced perfectly.

Types of stock

A wide range of papers including matt, gloss and numerous other substrates are held in stock including self-adhesive crack-back, acetate, polyester, simulator (tracing paper) and transfer material. Weights range from 80gsm up to an impressive 350gsm, (perfect for folders and document covers). Textured stocks are also available in an ever-increasing range but these are only supplied to special order.

Just right for your job!

Cost viability of full colour digital print as opposed to litho is around a 1,000 copies, depending on the project but when turn around time or personalisation are the criteria, Xeikon can become the perfect solution.

Finishing

All finishing is completed in-house in our own finishing department which can handle trimming, drilling, stitching, wiro binding, perfect binding, kiss-cutting, die-cutting square backs, in fact practically the whole gamut of finishing requirements.
